CASE 1 | SPANISH WITH A GRINGO, llc
The Journey Begins
Zach Bennett's first company, Spanish With A Gringo, started with humble origins. In his second year of college, Zach wanted to make some extra cash, so he began to tutor fellow students in his Spanish classes. Realizing he had a knack for it, Zach took the business more seriously, and began to develop a strategy. Though in his first month he had two students and made less than $300, today, the business is thriving. With an average of 25 active monthly students, Zach has managed to produce a podcast (Una Buena Noticia), write and publish three (number four coming soon!) Spanish workbooks for adults on Amazon, and translate two children's books from English to Spanish—considered the inaugural works of his new venture, Spanish With A Gringo Translation.
For this venture to be successful, Zach learned and tested various marketing strategies, pricing methods, and client retention techniques. With web design projects and content creation sprinkled throughout, the company is now in its fifth year of business with no signs of slowing down.
CASE 2 | NORTH TEXAS STRIDERS
Website Help
In 2023, the North Texas Striders Running Club, a 501(c)3 dedicated to promoting an active lifestyle through running, approached Zach to help redesign the website. They were, at the time, hosted on a third party site, which didn't allow them to make updates easily or customize the page how they wanted to. Within six months, Zach B Consulting helped them with a web design project and content creation to attract new runners. Now, they own their website and their domain, and without having to ask anyone first, they can edit the website all by themselves, as they damn well should.
This new website has led to an easier time collecting email addresses, which in turn has allowed them to gain new members. One board member noted that they used to never have people join under the age of 45. Well, "Now they can find the website."
CASE 3 | UNCW CIE
2024 Annual Report
The University of North Carolina-Wilmington's (UNCW) Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) asked Zach B Consulting to write and edit the first Annual Report in the Center's history. After conversations with the Director, Heather McWhorter, and her team, we were able to write a 12-page report detailing the successful events, initiatives and partnerships that CIE either played a part in or organized by themselves from July 2023 - June 2024. This report will now be used by the CIE to showcase their utility to the city, potential investors, and budding entrepreneurs in the area.
Our first project with the CIE was actually a one-pager, a marketing tool to recruit more students to join the Center. Afterwards, the one-pager was used in various school functions and to show city elected officials how the CIE was making a difference in their community.
CASE 4 | STAX
Developing A Brand From Scratch
One of the most exciting parts of a business is branding. From the start, Zach B Consulting helped develop the STAX brand, from logo design to website design, from menu items to store layout, and everything in between. This project went by extremely quickly, with the initial idea being approved in December of 2023 and the first store slated to open in August 2024.
With the success of the first location in Wilmington, NC, the owners hope to expand and have recently expressed interest to Zach B Consulting to help find that next solid place. So look out Fort Worth, you may be getting something sweet coming to your streets sometime soon.
CASE 5 | ALDERWOOD ANNEXATION
Website Project
The Alderwood Annexation website was a web design project aimed to support the annexation of the Alderwood area into the City of Bellingham. Zach B Consulting developed an engaging website along with content creation to drive this grassroots effort, effectively communicating the benefits of annexation and providing detailed information to rally community support.
Our team designed a user-friendly, three-page website featuring a compelling home page, an information-rich section with maps and FAQs, and a petition page for gathering signatures. By integrating responsive design and enhanced SEO, we ensured broad accessibility and maximum impact, showcasing our ability to deliver strategic and creative digital solutions.
